I was recently alerted to this auction based here in Southern California.
They seem clueless as to what these masks are and their valuations but
it's always a thrill for me just looking at old masks with their original
finishes intact.

"Bite" by Death Studios >

"Heavy Metal", one of the originals from Fantasy Faces >

I think this one was called "Demon Ram". It was either from
The Great CoverUp or early Illusive Concepts/Mask Illusions >

"Andromeda" by Distortions Unltd >

'Another from Distortions, an '83 A L I E N >

'Three early House of Horror Studios characters:
"B.O.T." >

"Pyranth" with hands >

"Old Bob" puppet/prop, first version >

... and now, on to the Post Studios gems:

Pre-'74 "Frankenstein" >

a "Wolfman" from the same era >

"Calendar Phantom" with applied eyebrows!

"Metaluna Mutant", looks like the movie mold version >

"Mad Doctor", late '60s version >

"Mr Hyde", looks like early '70s finish >

"Creature from the Black Lagoon"; someone may've added paint of their own >

Four more from the mid '70s:
"Old Vampire" >

"Death Cyborg" >

1100 line "FLY" with claw >

First edition "Chewbacca" >

The auction notes mention a nameless collector who passed away and left
some or all of these latex treasures behind. I'd sure like to know who.
Anyhow, here's the link if you want to bid on anything. Act fast though;
it closes on Saturday.

Unfortunately these are being auctioned by David Brandon.   A known scammer.
Morning, noon, or night, Anytime . . . . the count may strike. If you're caught you have to linger, Cause Dracula may bite your finger!

Doh!

Too bad most if not all of these are in poor condition. Might explain the current $110 bid for the Distortions ALIEN. I thought those went for quite a bit more than that...?

But thanks for posting!

Most of the post stuff is rock hard.

What's the scam, here? Will you not get what's pictured?

He was banned from Ebay for shill bidding.    His disclaimers are a major turn off too.   Nothing like passing your expense onto customers whether they like it or not.

My fear in getting one of those rock hard masks that are  permanently stuck on those Styrofoam heads is shattering during shipping.   I doubt he knows how to pack them and certainly wont refund

Sounds like a more detailed description and a guarantee are needed!

I wonder if that Phantom came out of DPS with those eyebrows.

While you gents are sorting this out, enjoy a few more pics:

Early '80s "ET" by Post Studios, looking like a fish out of water >

Mid '70s "Dr Zaius" by DPS. There are two other PotA characters also up for bids >

"The Mask" by DPS >

"Coridian Alien" by DPS. 'Better get out the ol' duct tape for this one >

"CE3K alien" puppet head by Fantasy Faces >

"Living Death", the first version by House of Horror Studios (early '80s) >

House of Horror catalogued this steaming pile as "Tule Monster"
(pronounce TOO-lee). Make of it what you will >

Living Death and Tule look like they paid a visit to Dr Frankenstein.

Haha, maybe he switched their brains and left Coridian with a sunroof!

Did Post offer the movie mold mutant as a special order?     I love seeing that Phantom with no airbrushing.     I wonder if its original finish?
