Those things were hard on the comics.  :o

About the closest thing to them, these days, is the bargain DVD racks.

Those things go for a lot of money these days, which is weird to think of. Used to be you'd collect the comics thinking they'd be worth money someday. Turns out those clunky display stands at all of those old drugstores are worth a lot of money, haha.

I was able to find two of the spinner racks about 10 years ago. We had a small local drug store that had one in the 80s and 90s that I used to get my floppies from. When I didn't see it there one day, I asked the owner if he still had it. In fact, he had it stored away in the back room. Got it for free. I knew the owner pretty well and he remembered me always getting books there when I was young, so he was happy to see it go to a good home.

The second one I found in a storage loft at a local cigar shop. I knew the owner and manager real well and they new I was a huge comics fan. Got that one for $150.
I became insane, with long intervals of horrible sanity...

Guess you didn't know him as well as the drug store guy!  ;D

Got a few "Ghost Club" monster pin display stands in varying degrees of completion, no idea the date but based on the bat header art I'd guess the 80's. I kind of like the one that is missing half of the display leaving just the word "Ghost" on it. It fortunately includes the paper kick stand on the back so will look awesome on a shelf just as is. I'm going to have to track down more of these monster pins to fill out the other display.

The larger fly I believe is from the 80's. The others seem much older.

Just got a "Terron The Beast from Beyond" from the Super Joe Adventure Team, 1978. It's not in working condition but it's going on a shelf and in pretty nice looking condition so that makes no difference to me. A very big and interesting vintage monster toy to add to the collection!

My parents bought me one of these from Montgomery Wards on clearance when I was a kid. I remember smashing it to pieces in our driveway.

No, it was when we got older and decided to break things for no reason, then wish we hadn't as adults, lol. Like destroying Aurora kits with firecrackers.

I don't remember what happened to my kits?

While I participated when other kids decided to destroy stuff they either wouldn't sell to me or that I didn't want to buy, I never turned any menace on my own stuff, fortunately. Yeah, a few toys broke from play, but I've always been a collector.

I have three younger brother and a younger sister. I never got to keep anything. So I destroyed a few things since they already had a field day with them.

Ah, I get ya. Being an only child had a lot of perks.

Mutated Skeleton

Just picked up a fairly rare and unusual 2 headed monster reptile with a turtle shell from Sun Wai toys, the same company responsible for the impossible to find zombie skeletons with rubber squeaky guts. Guessing this is from the 80's? The following is another few examples of this toy that I found online, they appear to come in many colors.
