Even beyond Keanu, like Oldman's tranny-granny Dracula. I can understand going for something different, but nit something just patently ridiculous!

Nope, it was just Keanu!

He did show his chest, though, which was more than Winona did.

"The Wolfman" turned up in my YouTube recommendations.  Since it was free, I decided to finally give it a chance.

Watched the first 40 minutes.  Gave up.

Now I want my 40 minutes back.

Are you talking about the 2010 film or the version that came out lin 2025? I really enjoy the 2010 film. I think it's one of the better attempts at Gothic horror, in terms of recent years. The Wolf Man film that came out this year is barely a werewolf film. More of an infected monster in the woods flick. I think it's ok, but very different than any Universal werewolf fil m

I pretty much agree with you about the 2010 version. Not bad as a new stab at a classic, but falls short as can be expected. Haven't seen the recent one but I won't be searching for it.

Nothing to do with Wolf Man, but check this out when you get a chance on Tubi. Let us know what you think, GB.

I have been able to watch it a few times in the last several years, and I like the 2010 Wolf Man, but the "twist" robs the story of all the pathos the original had. Plus that twist is telegraphed immediately, so it's not much of a twist either. But besides that, it's a solid reinterpetation. I think the Director's Cut is better, and makes more sense story-wise.

Lunkenstein

I have the DVD and much prefer the director's cut. I think it's very good in many ways. However, they should have stuck more with Rick Baker's stunning makeup and less CGI. It had the potential to be truly great, but the twist and having him run on all fours hurts it. Still, I rewatch it every few years. I like the atmosphere in much of it and the acting.
