Yep, I think he could scale up without much effort.   I've found the same thing-- you can usually save a few bucks on Etsy vs eBay and even more if you can find a website.  In this case, I liked the figure, liked the pricing and the message system eBay uses, I feel like its faster than Etsy-- saving $10 didn't matter to me.

Doh!

I just sent a message via Etsy. Will let you guys know what they say! Personally, I'd only be interested in Frankenstein, Wolfman, and Creech at the larger scale.

Got my Frankenstein today.  The darker green is a little shiny for my taste.  It kinda shimmers in bright light.  I would have preferred a duller color like the originals.

Also, detail is great except for the face.  The eyes and mouth don't have hard lines and look a little soft.  I really don't think a larger print would look that great.  The 10 in. size looks perfect to me.

The base imperfection I mention is there - not very noticeable when it is sitting flat on the table.

I'll try to take some pictures in a few days, when I hope to have a couple other things to photograph.

Thanks for the report.

I mentioned wondering why the guy didn't start with the Creature due to popularity which translates to $. Since the Creature is more detailed than the Frank maybe too much was getting lost enlarging it like that what with the claws and base and such. I noticed in the pics the Frank fingers don't separate well on one hand. Maybe the Creature is just too detailed and problematic to get right blown up this way.

I'll probably still order a Frank.

Doh!

The guy wrote me back and said while it's possible, it sounds like a complicated process. For one thing, his 3D printer isn't that big so he'd have to print in parts. And even the current scale he's making isn't very cost-effective for him.

Oh, well.

I think it's also good to note that the higher the scale the less the detail, at 10" it's pretty big, and it looks really good.

The same seller is now listing a Marx Phantom for sale.

So, maybe he will wind up doing the full set.

From my understanding he's doing them as he gets access to an original-- or in this case one of the Mexican redos.

I ordered one of the blue 10" Marx Frankenstein figures from this guy's Etsy shop and thought to check out his eBay listings. He's now offering a 10" painted version of the Marx Frank.

Hopefully he will make a good printed version of a 10" Marx Creature at some point! I'll probably have to get a blue one because the Marx Creature teal blue from 1963 is such an iconic toy.

Nice!

I'd love a Creature!

I'll pass on the painted Frank, but I thought someone else might be interested in it. If I wanted one painted I'd probably just do it myself, especially at the cost of another $60.

I'm more interested in big homages to the original figures which is why I'm glad the guy is doing them in blue as a color option. If he does a good Marx Mummy in blue I may get one of those as well as Frank and Creature, but at those prices I'll probably pass on Phantom... and Wolf Man and Hunchback if he does them.

Kind of non-plussed about his Mummy.

Looks like he's covered in oil. The slick lack of detail doesn't look so bad on the Frank because he's wearing clothes, but those bandages look like Kharis just crawled out of a tarpit. Of course you could pretend he just got out of one those swamps he was always ending up in.   What is it with Mummies and swamps?

Anyway, I don't hold out much hope for Tarpit Creature. Be hard to get the claws and chain links to show up with this lack of detail, let alone the scales all over his body. You might pretend he's a deep one from Shadow Over Innsmouth, but I don't think that would fly (or swim) with ol' Creech.

Not crazy about the slightly metal flake look of his colors.  I would rather have the duller colors of the originals.

Looking at an original Mummy, this one has lost a lot of detail! Like somebody dipped it in some thick paint.
