It's definitely an odd film lol, but in a cool way, at least in my view.

In terms of Mike's comment about the title, I dont want to spoil too much. But ill say the film is more about manipulation and how people can be "weaponized" against each other

The Devil's Wedding Night (1973)

Watched the new BD release from Severin 3 times, once in English, once in Italian, and once for the commentary. This is a huge improvement over the Code Red BD from a few years ago (and the Elvira DVD...and the boots I still have from years past).

Joe D'Amato was just credited as the cinematographer, but he was also co-director with Luigi Batzella which accounts for many of the great set-ups and shots in the movie.

I know this movie catches a lot of grief from many, but I love it. I first saw it at the drive-in in June 1977 on a double feature with Ruby. This pushed all the buttons for Drive-In Gothic Horror for me. I've probably seen this thing a dozen times by now and I always enjoy it. Who could get tired of naked Rosalba Neri raising from that bloodbath, or the other over-the-top antics with Gothic Horror tropes.

I thought it was great.  Seeing some of those people in motion was really surreal.  Nice clean little story.  Lots to like there.

Frighteners

I haven't seen this one in ages.  It's still pretty fun.  John Astin is a great ghost in it.

Lunkenstein

When a Stranger Calls (2006) - better than I expected

ALIEN (1979) - beautiful Blu-ray on my 65" Hisense and Samsung soundbar with surround sound. My top favorite Sci-Fi/Horror

The Curse of the Crying Woman (1963) - one of the best Mexican horror films to me

Revenge of the Zombies (1943) - needed more Mantan, but still fun when he's on

M3GAN (2023) - it was ok

Alien: Romulus (2024) - some interesting things, but mostly feels like a greatest hits satire. None of these sequels and prequels hold a candle to the original film. Except, of course, ALIENS (but in a different way).
