Tariffs on China are currently 145%.

Doesn't look like I'll be buying anything from China for the present.

Well, let's see...if the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from NECA are manufactured in China, and the preorder price is $40, then when they come in they'll be hit with a 145% Tariff.

That would up the price from $40 to $98 ($40 plus $58 (145%))

Something tells me people aren't going to be buying anything from China.

I'm worried all these Tariffs are going to be the final nail in the coffin of the Uni Monsters Neca line.

Of course all toy lines effected, but my main concerns being the Classic Monsters. 

Masks, and collectibles from Trick or Treat Studios will be slim to none this Halloween season too.

I'm sure it won't last forever - but it can last just long enough to disrupt businesses that make short runs of specialized toys, like classic monsters.

It could even bankrupt some of the smaller companies that make little else.

Yep, the longer this tariff war lasts, the worse things will be. 

I thought NECA figures, as great as they are, were expensive at $40, They're outrageous at $100 (plus shipping and sales tax).

I like the Basil Gogo-esque Dark Universe figures (or whatever they're called) but I agree that Neca is getting to pricey for what you get.

Metaluna Mutant in the fall. Plus the B&W version of Frankenstein from the Bride of Frankenstein. I don't think there's been anything after that though.

Mask of the Red Death Phantom was previewed at SDCC along with Mutant. There's also the Remco Glow Bride that still hasn't been released.

Masque is in the really early stages of their "process/treatment". Their prototype was the basic bare bones sculpt. The way things are with China right now.....I wouldn't hold my breath for a timely release . It looks great though.

Thanks for the updates, all! I keep wondering about that GID Bride as I thought we'd have seen her last year.

Wondering if I want to go looking for the Mutant and Red Death pics as they'll just get my appetite up without knowing if/when I'll ever get the satisfaction of having 'em.

Those figures look great.  Sure hope the tariff wars are over before they hit the market, or they're gonna be out of my price range.

Just got the Kemp-house Invisible Man.
He's fantastic.
However I did notice that he's shorter than the previous one in the suit. I guess he was more relaxed at Kemp's place... after all, he didn't have Una O'Connor screeching in his ears.
