If this is the second go round for those 4, I guess they aren't doing a Creature.

Quote from: Doh! on February 11, 2025, 01:00:31 AMWell, now I have a moral dilemma: I have the color Toony Terrors versions on order, and they'd fit right in with the many others I already own. OR, do I kill that order and switch them out for these black and white ones to match the rest of my "realistic" Neca collection of the same characters??

This is quite the Sophie's choice!

Or buy both ..........

The Van Helsing figure looks fantastic! One problem. They put Jonathan Harker, as played by John Van Eyssen on the box front, not Cushing's Van Helsing!

I hope they catch this before they ship!

Anton Phibes

I doubt they will. Its taken them forever to even show the box. Perhaps they had to stick to lobby cards or movie posters?

Yeah, that's probably the case, and no posters for the film spring to mind with Cushing on them. But it does seem like false advertising in some way. Both Mego and McFarlane are bad about putting the wrong version of a character on the package of their DC characters, so it seems to be a trend these days.

It would shock me into 1954 if they didn't do a Creature Tooney Terror. I am extremely confident they do at least 4 more Universal Monster Characters (Creature, Bride, Invisible Man, Phantom).

They'll probably do the same four in G-I-T-D.  ;D

What am I, a Rockefeller*??

*(for you younger folk, John D. Rockefeller was a very wealthy man last century. Think Jeff Bezos in today's terms.)

I wouldn't count him out just yet.

Shannon aka monsieurmonkey on UMA Y!

After much soul-searching, I decided to kill my color pre-order and instead pre-order the black & white set. And yes, I also hope they add Creech, Bride, and Invisible Man at some point.

**NEWS FLASH!**

Neca has the black and white set in stock and ready to ship! Not only that, it's $10 bucks cheaper than BBTS, AND free shipping!

Just ordered mine:

I had the NECA Vincent Price figure on order through BBTS.  I canceled that and got it from Target online.  Arrived in perfect condition.  Sad that BBTS for some reason just can't get the figures in stock.

As to finding them locally in stores - My Walmart has a few older figures, in torn boxes and ripped off tags.  My local Target has some figures in stock, in good condition, but ones I already have, or ones I don't want.  That's why most of the stuff I get are online purchases.

As much as I love what NECA has released, I loathe their cheap pulp paper hanger tags. It makes finding versions to leave in the box as challenging as finding a vintage item oft times. Which is just unacceptable. :'(

John Pertwee

I gave up on worrying about the tags on my in box collection. I don't plan on selling them and I would hate to miss out on one just because I wanted a perfect box.
