But that was standard Monster Kid behavior back in the day. That's why you see so many coverless cut-up monster mags floating around. Of course, it was common for some of those FM spines to rot over time all by themselves.  ;)

Hey Mike Scott.  I liked the cartoon, I know that feeling. I did the same thing with some of my monster mags back in the day too, I just thought it would be neat to have a bunch of photos of monsters pasted all over the place in my room. I remember too I think 1963 me and my cousin Johnny would frequent a corner variety store around the corner from my aunt Rosies house. We were buying these really neat cards at the time that were perforated in panels of three (Monster Midgees). Only thing was, sometimes the cards didn't pull apart right, and we were always ruining a few. Sometimes we would have Sunday dinner there with other family members. On occasion, sometimes someone would pull out a whole dollar bill and hand one out to both me and my cousin, we couldn't contain our excitement enough and we would run over to that variety store and spend our whole dollar. There were so many choices, you could buy the latest issue of FM, along with a comic or two, and purchase probably 5 packs of Monster Midgees!!  Depending on the titles of comics in 63, along with a brand new mint FM from that year, let alone 5 full unopened packs of the cards, well, add it all up by todays standards!!  I think one of us actually got some change back too.

I didn't cut mine up, but they got beat up. It wasn't until the '70s that I started taking care of my collections.

Hahaha! I got it right away.
I did the same thing. I had my room covered with posters and pictures. Lots of Kong, Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstein, Wolf Man, Creature, etc. One of my nephews told me my room used to scare him when he was little, lol.
