Hit up Barnes & Noble for the Criterion sale.  I was going to get new things, but I just opted to replace things that got ruined in the flood.

That damn cardboard packaging.  I'm glad I don't have more Lynch movies because they're all packed in that stuff and I'd have lost the lot.  The Val Lewton set really stung because I literally just bought the damn thing a week and a half before it got trashed.

The new prints of the films are amazing compared to the DVD's. It's like watching them for the first time as you notice so much more now. No new extras on the RETURN disc but there is a new commentary and classic era WB cartoons as extras along with the trailer on WALKING DEAD.

Also on the MUMMY box set, the prints of the films are wonderful! Again, I noticed so much more now than I ever have in years of watching the Kharis films. The commentaries on each film were informative and entertaining as well

The print quality certainly is. Also, footage from the THE MUMMY'S TOMB that was missing on the blu rays previously is present on this. This is how Universal should have been doing it.

My copy of The Invincible Czars version of Nosferatu came today. Released for the 100th Anniversary, it features the music they composed for it. It was free as long as I covered shipping. I joined the kickstarter for the new Phantom version they are doing so I was excited to see how it looks.
