I take it that the Sideshow are much less expensive?

Collecting! It's what I do!

The KPs are smidge cheaper, but that's because they're smaller. All of this stuff is getting sky high though with SRP though. I think a lot of folks are getting priced out. Payment plans exist. Payment plans are for car notes and mortgages in my opinion. Not dollies, lol.

Of course, now days, "toys" are big boys are getting as expensive as cars.

Well, with everything being sky high these days; and with no relief in sight; I cancelled my order for these. They are amazing, and I love them, but I just can't justify the price.

I hear ya, brother! I've had to pass on a few things, especially ones that come with 2-4 different paint jobs.

The never ending saga of trying to swing a set of these without paying full price has continued. I think I may have done it. If so, I will have a set by Thursday this week. Trading things in the "barter box" of your collection sometimes works wonders.

I find it easier/quicker to just sell those things on eBay and buy the stuff I want with the money.

That used to be a viable option...... until nowadays, you're expected to conduct your hobby as a business.

well, eBay has always been a business, so yeah.

Ebay is a business. A dude selling off a figure he bought, to buy another figure he wants, on their platform isn't. It's better to trade. At least for me. If I wanted to be a small business, I would open a shop.

Yes, but to whom? Odds are slim that I know somebody that wants the thing I have to trade and even less that they have something I want.

Because you have to consider eBay like a business, treat it as such; so if you sell X figure for $$ and have to claim it, claim the purchase of Y figure as inventory on a Schedule C.   They want us to treat it like business income, take it all the way.   Just because you aren't going to sell Y anytime soon doesn't mean you won't someday.

Got my exclusive set from Infinite Statue yesterday, it's a really nice box. Number 48 of 250. Shipped from Italy September 27th, arrived at my house in Michigan by the 30th, they weren't playing around with the shipping. I even have the Lugosi Dracula exclusive from them as well with the graveyard diorama, none on display or anything yet. Looking to get a display shelf, but a part of me almost doesn't wanna open the boxes. With how much they cost though, almost feels like they NEED to be displayed

The Cantankerous Collector

I bought the white coffin. I need Dracula now...lol
