... I met and had lunch with Fay Wray in 1993 when she visited Alberta(her birthplace) ...she autographed a schwack of KK related items for me including a painted up Luminators KK model
That's me and Fay Wray in 1993, and here is the KKmodel she autographed...the Gold pen leaked and that's what the drip on the chest is, she laughed and said it was 'Golden Blood':p

...a very fine Lady and a most cherished King Kong Model!

McDee,

That's a VERY cool thing to have gotten autographed by Fay Wray.  Good job thinking outside the box.  What else did she autograph for you?

I'll have to take pictures this weekend, but she signed a huge poster of King Kong standing on top of the Empire State building swatting at the bi-planes, must be 5' x 3'...a VHS 60th Anniversary King Kong Video (the one that roars when you push KKs chest)...an old photo of her ...hmmm I'll dig this stuff out take a few Shots and post them here on Saturday...Just wanted to add that I got to have lunch with her and she talked to me like we were old friends...and man she spoke of the filming of King Kong like it was yesterday, her eyes had a sparkle when she spoke of her film career and I'm not kidding when I tell you I was captivated by her...She was still a living doll!!!

That is too cool...whereabouts in Alberta was this? (I'm in the suburbs of Edmonton)

Fay Wray was born in Cardston Alberta and in 1993 the Town honored her by naming King Kong Park after her famous movie.. She had previously visited Cardston in 1962 and that resulted in a fountain being dedicated to her in this same park....if you get a chance to visit Cardston check out King Kong Park... there is a huge metal King Kong statue there to greet you...

You're not wrong in what your saying Mario, This has been my prized possession since she signed it for me 16 years ago...I'm also an Aurora Model collector and have many MIB originals...but they all pale  (to me) when compared to this King Kong model....and Thank You for your kind words!

McDee,

Those are great although I'm sure your favorite item is the memory of the time you got to spend with her. So cool!
