My major gripe with the BK figures is you can get the real things for less than $20 each.      Tributes should never be more $$$ than than the real thing.      I don't get what's nostalgic about that?

A little of both. I think a lot of people slept on them (myself included) and they're also not completely out yet. I don't think many of the pre-orders have been filled yet. I'm just going to wait it out until NECA does their inevitable re-releases.

Speaking of re-release, I'm pretty pissed that they're doing a boxset of the BK figures. The coffin looks amazing and should have come with Drac. Also it sounds like they're doing custom packaging to look like the display that was used in BK during the promotion. This leads me to believe that the figures won't come with the re-sealable baggies or the stickers so that's a plus. That being said, I'm a sucker and will still probably end up ordering these too.

I was thinking the same thing although I've already noticed people are trying to offload their original ones. I'm still just sticking with my Remco style ones as I'm about done with this variant game.

But they didn't include the accessories with 3 of the monsters. You'll get Drac's coffin with the new super set, though.

I got an email from NECA with the estimated shipping dates...they say the Bride OF Frankenstein monster figure and chair is shipping now.  So...hopefully will be in my hot little hands in a week or two. 

On a side note, the 4 figure set similar to the old Burger King toys - no mention of Burger King, so I think these will essentially be the Loot Crate figures but without any Burger King bags of Burger King notation on the packaging.

I just received the update also. I was beginning to think there might have been a delay in the production of the Frankenstein Monster with Chair. Maybe they have just been so busy with SDCC and just brushed aside shipping it out. They sure seem to have a lot figures in production.
