I've gotta get those Republic sets Kino just did.

Well, after a rough holiday weekend at work, I decided to get some more Hammer stuff before the sale ended.  A few of the titles are going out of print so those were the first priority.  And I got a few other things.

Straight on Till Morning
Demons of the Mind
Fear in the Night
The Reptile
The Bride
Danger: Diabolik
(not horror or monster, but it IS Bava.)

Let me know if you like those. The reviews aren't as good on their '70s thrillers as on the '60s ones, so I have been reluctant to pull the trigger.

I will.  I'm kind of curious myself.

Do you have the other '70s thriller, "Crescendo"?

I don't believe so.  Before this all of my single title hammer buys have been their 'creature feature' type movies, and To the Devil, A Daughter.  The only non monster films I have are in the Hammer Horror 8 movie set and the big Hammer Films 20 movie set.  Is there another name it's under?  I've almost double bought a couple movies because of that. (The Damned, Taste of Fear, for example.  They're in the 20 movie set under the alternate US titles.)

I think the only '60s thrillers not included in those sets are Hysteria and The Nanny (both 1965).

Just foriegn language titles. It was "Crescendo" in the US.

Well, I plan on getting around to all of them in time.  After I get this paid off I'll be finishing up my Dracula and Frankensteins, then I'll probably do any one off monster movies I've missed, and then I'll get the other non monster horrors.  I've taken down a big chunk of Hammer Horrors for my collection this year, though.

There are still a half dozen Hammer movies I want and more than a dozen Hammer DVDs to replace with BD.

Got "The Cat and the Canary" from WM, today.

Lunkenstein

Got this today. I really like The Monster and the Girl. I already had Captive Wild Woman, but I really want to see Jungle Woman and Jungle Captive. That trilogy is tough to get outside of this set. Especially looking forward to seeing Rondo in another performance.

Unless there are foreign releases, I think it's the only way to get Paula 2&3 in the DVD format.

So, I've got two of the Quatermass movies coming.  I had assumed Quatermass and the Pit was the first one for some reason, and I was wrong about that.  Thankfully, Kino Lorber is there to make sure I don't have an incomplete trilogy.

The Quatermass Experiment
Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956)

I think I'm gonna get those nice new Republic collections and the Edgar J Ulmer 3 pack next time I order from them.  Their horror offerings have been kind of drying up lately, unfortunately.
