I just received an autographed photo of Naomi Watts from King Kong.  It's a closeup of her tied to the alter.

I recently got a 66 action figure Batmobile from McFarland toys and a autographed photo of Julie Newmar as Catwoman.

I have another King Kong collectible from 1976 on the way.

No your correct, months back they were running $69.00 to $80.00, I'm really late to the game. Thats why I got it, because if NECA does not re-release it i'm sure the price will just get crazier. And knowing my luck now that I purchased one, it will be announced that it's going to be re-released, lol.

I read on reddit that they sometimes re-release con exclusives later down the road. This was course just a posting from that site and not from any official source. So I really don't know.

Today I received my set of four Burger Chef, coca cola, King Kong glasses from 1976.  I love the artwork.  The paint was bright and sharp too.

I'm still intrigued why some collectibles I think are nice and interesting to me are rather common and sold at a fair price and other items, which I don't have much interest in go for big money on the collector's market.

I missed out at the time since we didn't have a Burger Chef in my area.  We didn't get a Burger King in my area until I was about ten.

I have seen Burger Chef commercials for the Star Wars posters and King Kong glasses on YouTube.  The Kong glasses were free with a large meal or .59 purchased separately.  Collect all four at participating Burger Chef restaurants.

I only have a few character glasses.  Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, Star Trek, some Pepsi Looney Toons, Casper, Superman, and a Universal Monster glass I picked up at Walmart a couple of years ago.  If the graphics are nice I like them.  It wasn't the same after things switched to plastic cups.

A YouTube channel called Retrodaze just posted a 12 min video on character glasses.  They have been producing them for decades.  One of the issues is there were complaints about the lead content used in the paint on the glasses.  It's one reason why they were discontinued.
