What's This Movie?

Not very old. A few years. Ten at the most. A whole bunch of weird freaky (tentacles and such) giant(ish) monsters coming out of the ground and maybe from other places. I thought it was called "Monsters", but none of the trailers I looked up with that title was it. Could possibly be a series? Had really good effects, though.

Monsters (2010) comes to mind. Giant alien critters take over south of the border.
