If I was buying the LAM, I'd want 2, so that I could do both of these poses.

Has Target already had the color verso. Creature - or only the black and white version so far?

Yes, the color version of the Creature has been found in Target stores and it is listed on their website but is currently (as of this morning at least) listed as sold out.

Anyone fortunate enough to get to mom and pop shops who have direct sales with NECA, you may pay a few dollars more, but support them. Its better. The figures are usually case fresh vs. big box. Big box sometimes offers the figures looking as if they were delivered by Ace Ventura, or spent the summer on Ceti Alpha 5. Sometimes with added bonus of boogers being on the boxes.

Sad that the batwings are made of solid plastic and can ONLY be used with the figure in the "arms Up" pose.
But still, a nice figure.

The material is very pliable. Like they are using on their Disney Gargoyles figures. If you wanted, you could leave the wings on, and put the arms down, and the material folds backwards. It's pretty clever.

The inverness worried me since it looked like plastic, but it doesn't look that bad in the photos, maybe that's made of the same material as the wings? Either way, this is one of those obscure characters that I'm glad we're getting this early in the game.

In the stills of the film (all we have for reference), the inverness is either removed or tucked back behind the shoulders in shots. To make way for the wings.

I am pretty sure that for the figure, the inverness shoulder area is simply lifted off the shoulders, and the wings attached. If the arms are placed at side, the pliable wings will push backwards. Maybe the shoulders can then be laid on it. The way its designed is quite clever. If they went with an entire cloth jacket, it would have to be implemented with wires, the wings wouldn't hold shape the way they do with the pliable plastic, and the price would've been higher.

I think they did good.

Unless NECA decides to liquidate the rumored remainder of the San Diego Comic Con exclusive Creature and any potential left over NYCC Phantom (which, for the record, I very much doubt they would do, assuming they could), the Remco tribute glow in the dark Creature from the Black Lagoon and Phantom of the Opera are completely sold out from NECA online and are available only via the secondary market.

The Remco tribute glow in the dark Dracula has NOT been released and NECA has not announced how they plan to release it. The news from New York Toy Fair that it is to be released this quarter is indeed news.

I wouldn't get my hopes up. It's very unusual for a company to sell more of an exclusive item outside the sale window, and I can't think of any instance of NECA ever doing it.

That said, do you have anyone in your life who is computer literate and could physically look at whatever device you use to browse the web and attempt to make purchases with? I really feel for you in your difficulty to get the webpage to load but, while the fix is likely simple, it's next to impossible to determine and effectuate remotely. I realize that does you no good at acquiring the Creature and Phantom, but if Dracula is an online release it might make your acquiring him possible.

Thanks for the info, and concerns, but even if I had someone to help me , the quick sale window would be closed.  I hate Exclusives.  I've had no troubles shopping online.  I have purchased from Amazon, Target, Spirit, ebay, and other stores with no problems.  I just can not access the live Neca Exclusives sale sites.  Some kind of blockage, a simple fix perhaps, but keeps me from purchasing their items.  Oh  well,  hope they don't plan to sale most of their product this way, if so, I'm out!

MrDark1....I am not sure if you are based geographically close to any toy outlets/specialty shops: but I have seen them in shops in my area. Maybe you can find them locally? There are Remco EX Creatures at The Toy Department in Fairfield, Ohio. Marked up obviously, because they had to pay full retail like an average customer: but they have them.

I agree wholeheartedly about this exclusive crap. None of us should have to jump through hoops for the "privilege" of exchanging money for product. it's awful.

Once Upon A Time: I love NECA. I think they are the current heavyweight champion of the world in the field of monsters right now. The End.

It's especially annoying when the exclusive is required to complete a line, like the Remco-style GITD figures. It seems weird to me that the Creature figure wasn't released to the general public, I figured that would be a pretty popular one. I wonder if the GITD figures haven't sold quite as well, since they're often the things I see most at Target.

I was able to pick up a color Creature today from Best Buy. There are a few at stores in my area, so you might want to try them if you're looking for one. Based on my limited experience from today though, each store only had one a piece, and I had to have someone grab it from the stockroom. Their website should show which stores have them though.

And if they make less of the exclusive ones, some people will never get a complete collection!

BBTS just sent me an email saying they're preparing my color Creature From The Black Lagoon order, so it'll likely be in my hands by early next week.

I think you will find it to be the finest Creature from the Black Lagoon figure produced in this scale, and at this price point. The joints are hidden between the scale plates magnificently, and there is somewhat of a rubbery oversuit similar to what Sideshow did with their 1/6 back in the hey day. You're gonna love it. I grabbed two. I never used to do doubles. I would either open them or leave em boxed. With these NECA figures, I have to have it both ways. One loose, one opened, lol.
