Not sure where the best place to post able this is. I wanted to make sure anyone who might be interested knows about this upcoming book. It's a follow-up to the Rondo-winning graphic novel from 2020 of Dracula adapting the Bram Stoker novel using Bela Lugosi's likeness as Dracula. Legendary Comics is not adapting Frankenstein from the Mary Shelly novel using Boris Karloff as the Monster. The project has been fully funded but pre-orders are still being taken through Kickstarter. As with the Dracula book, the art will be by me (Kerry Gammill) and El Garing. Please check it out. The pre-orders will end on April 1st. Thanks.

I have been doing the town crier routine here since finding out about this...both with Dracula in 2020, and with this one too. Neat idea and Dracula was great! I know Frank will be too. Awesome work!

That's very cool.
The Karloff Frankenstein interests me more, as it feels more necessary than the Dracula one. (I mean, the Lugosi movie could've been closer to the book, but the Karloff movie was completely different from the book.)
Also, interesting to note they aren't using the Universal design for the monster, which makes sense. It's only Karloff's likeness they paid for.

Thanks Phibes! I had looked for some mention of the book here before posting but didn't find any.

As Mike said, welcome to the UMA. I loved Dracula. Loved it. Cant wait to see the glories of Frankenstein.

Both books look absolutely beautiful!  The artwork reminds me of those 70s comic magazines and has a retro feel.  Hopefully, there will be a Creature graphic novel in the future.

Universal owns that, so it isn't likely to happen.
Phantom of the Opera with Lon Chaney might be possible but anything newer that is based on something Universal created is probably not possible.

AH! That's one I hadn't thought of. I hope Mr. Gammill is still checking this thread! Great idea!

I'm not sure where the Lon Sr. image rights are legally now. I thought they were free and clear or about to be.
Anything based on novels could be used. Hunchback and Phantom double feature with Lon. Dr. Jekyll could be done, with Karloff and Lugosi as Jekyll and Hyde.

with bonus pages of Lugosi playing the Frankenstein Monster or Karloff as Dracula?

Doh!

Book is out now, and I picked up a copy. Haven't started reading it yet, but art is terrific! If you liked the Dracula version, this appears to be of the same quality.
