I always feel funny "liking" these posts, but it's meant as a tribute to the man, not "I'm glad he's dead." I bought this as a kid, mostly for his stunning cover. Still have it:

Neal Adams' comic art was a real eye opener when it hit the pages of DC comics in the late 1960's. He raised the bar for comic art. Here are scans of a few of my favourite Neal Adams' covers from my collection as well as some other representative illustrations:
































Among his achievments Adams re-imagined and relaunched Green Arrow who'd been one of DC's iconic characters since 1941:












Adams more than anyone was also responsible for reestablishing Batman as the Darknight Detective after the buffoonery of the 1966-68 TV series:
