Hoo hoo!! eBay!!

Ok....I use my Watch List and enter the price to keep track while "shopping" for good prices on items or well....what I am willing to pay. Skully, thanks for this post .

A cool thing is sometimes I get an email from sellers offering a discount...some only 3% (meh) some 30% (cool!)  within 12 hours of my saving the item to Watch List.

Cheers!

Currently I am waiting on a tracking number of an item I purchased last week. Contacted seller and no response. Wtf?!?!

We won't have to worry about scalpers after this year. Starting next year, anyone who sells more than $600 on ebay gets a 1099-K and is considered a business.

I don't understand. In what context are you using the word "scalper" if this additional piece of government regulation will alleviate my worries?

Do you think that's only going to affect scalpers?? This is terrible news.

$600 how often? In one year? In a lifetime? It doesn't say!

1. People buy up new release product.  Put said product on Ebay at inflated prices. These people are referred to as scalpers.
2. This will cease once these little side hustles are considered "businesses." No one is going to want an encounter with the IRS trying to make a few bucks here and there.

No, it will affect normal collectors or people who want to just get rid of something...and yes...I agree. It's stinking awful news. Ebay used to be an avenue to make a hobby pay for itself, by liquidating items no longer wanted to get others. Now someone's hobby is going to be taxed if its more than $600 made. Absurd.
