There's a Hasbro 1963 Frankenstein paint by number on Ebay now. The guy is asking $7500. I believe he's waaay overboard on that price. Based on condition, what do you think it's worth? Just curious.

Even though it may be the most common of the Hasbro Paint sets, if it was M.I.B. unused new-old-stock, I wouldn't be surprised to see it fetch perhaps $2000.

So what do you think about the one he's selling? $750-800 range?

He's asking $9500 now. I think your figure is more in line-$500-$700 considering it is painted/used. It's also the most common of the 6.  That seller has crazy prices on stuff but does have some great stuff.

RPM

It sold for $1499. It's missing the cardboard paint holder insert and all but one paint tub.

Painted? Missing a paint holder insert. I'm very surprised someone paid $1499.

But it sold for $1499? I don't know the seller, but he sounds like a game playing dick supreme. What's his Ebay handle? I'll look to avoid his "auctions" if and when I'm in a buying mode.

The one that sold is NOT the one that's currently listed at $9500. It sold for $850. The listing said $1499 or b/o. He brought it down from his original asking price of $7500 once I talked some sense into him. I considered it, but wasn't going up to $900 or above.

What did you say? I assume a seller would just think you're trying to get it cheaper.  :D

Arrrrggghhh!!! This is getting really confusing.

"It"? Which listing sold for $850?

Quote from: RPM on November 06, 2020, 06:51:31 AMIt sold for $1499.

Is this correct? Did one just sell for $1499?

Should I understand that a Hasbro Frankenstein Painting by Numbers was listed at $7500, but then you Wolfman talked him down to a $1499 listing and he then accepted an offer of $850? And that there is now another listing of a Frankenstein Painting by Numbers at $9500?

Why make us guess to unravel this kind of thing though? Please provide links to Ebay listings you want to discuss. And when comparing two listings, please do not use the word "it". You may know the "it" to which you're referring, but the rest of us have to guess.

I told him a similar one sold at Hake's auction for $765 a few years back, and that he can look it up. He said he had no clue what to ask for it, so he based his price on the other guy's price of $9500.

The one that was listed for $1499. The one for $9500 is still available.

I just explained below. Other people were mixing up the 2 listings. My original post is pretty straight forward.

Your original post didn't include a link. That's why other people mixed up the listings.

P.S. Incidentally when I punched in "Hasbro Frankenstein Painting by Numbers" into the Ebay Search box yesterday evening and then again just now, I found NO listings for such.

I didn't include a link, because I'm not sure how to do it. I never mentioned the listing at $9500, so others should have picked up on that. Or at least ask if I did a typo.
