Great song list of one of the best metal bands ever. No gimmicks, no flashy stage show, no hair band vanity....just tough-as-nails music, warts & all (pun intended).

I'm a huge Nick Cave fan, and have all of his records on vinyl. The only area I haven't explored are his many soundtracks with Warren Ellis. How do they hold up, outside of the films they enhance?

I actually like some of these soundtracks a lot. IMO The Road and The Assassination of Jesse James . . .  are the two best. I listened to Kings the other day and enjoyed that too. As you might expect these are not uplifting and cheerful scores, but they're hauntingly beautiful. Mars is probably the one I like the least. Probably because it's not as gloomy, lol. If you're in the right mood and just want to chill, I highly recommend.

I guess I'll have to check them out. I have a double CD called "White Lunar" by them. I use it as "late night reading music". Very soothing. Another one I like is the score to "Wind River". Great movie, too.
