My 6 for Sunday night. An Inner Sanctum Marathon:

Calling Dr. Death 1943.
Weird Woman 1944.
Dead Man's Eyes 1944.
The Frozen Ghost 1945.
Strange Confession 1945.

Not really what "I" would call Horror Films, but, from the Universal Canon.

Sunday night:

Man Made Monster 1941.

So glad it's October!

I know this doesn't count, but I ushered out September and rang in October with an "Eighth Wonder of the World Weekend."

Friday - King Kong 1933 - B/W restored & 50th Anniversary Colorized version. The Son of Kong 1933 B/W. Mighty Joe Young 1949 B/W with original tinted fire sequence.

Saturday - Mighty Joe Young 1949 - Colorized version. King Kong 1976 (yawn). Mighty Joe Young 1998.

Sunday afternoon - Peter Jackson's King Kong 2005 - extended edition. If there need be a retelling, then, this is about as good as it gets. Nice eye candy.

The Brute Man(1946)..last night
Love this little gem, as well as "House of Horrors". Hatton was a great, tragic horror icon, bless him.

My brother picked up the Alex Ross Steelbook of Creature from the Black Lagoon this week.  I watched it yesterday while babysitting my nephew, after not having seen it for a few years.  SUCH a good movie, and SO PRETTY.

I'm always surprised by how effective the Creature suit is, with such limited effects.  The gulping for air and slight movement of his gills add a lot to his believe-ability.
