A local Dollar Tree Store has begun putting out a few Halloween-themed items.

Nothing all that great yet, but I picked up a few spiders, glowing ghosts with sound effects and witches that glow and wail.  Just simple items to give to trick-or-treaters.

(The Witch and Ghost are 5¾" tall.)

Only 47 days 'til October.  I always put out my first Halloween decorations on October 1st.

Nice!! Lets see em!

I was just over at Target, hoping they'd have some Halloween stuff out, but not yet. Its only back to school stuff.  Michael's however is putting stuff out, but nothing new from what I've seen. Just left over stuff from last year. Keep on hunting.

Target is always so late to the party.  They don't do anything until the end of September.  Get it with it, Target!

As I mentioned in this previous post on 2017 Halloween merchandise; most stores that carry school supplies, Target, Walmart, Kmart, Walgreens, etc. won't have Halloween stuff out until late September but Michaels, Lowes, Home Depot, Menards, TJ Max, Home Goods, etc. have already started stocking Halloween or will be within the next week or two.

Stuff is still only trickling out (this week the Halloween candy hit the shelves at work) but the Michael's near us has a ton of stuff, and a lot of it looks new to me.

These giant toads are soft foam with a latex skin

Hepcat I couldn't help but think of you when I saw these cats!  (With green eyes, even!)

For some reason I'm really drawn to these heavy cast iron key sets. There's these patina'd ones and the black ones.

These skeleton bottles are pretty neat. My girlfriend wants the one that looks like the Harry Potter Skele-Gro bottles and one will be a custom.

Rat Salad on a Stick

These apothecary bottles with coordinated stoppers are really spiffy too

Tubes of glass eye and jack'o'lantern and assorted onraments to save for Christmas!

I think this Venus Fly Trap was store made, but is a neat inspiration for a craft project!

New plaster busts: Creepy Cat, Eyeball, Sugar Skull, etc...

Assorted glassware

New Village setup... I LOVE the tilting Gravitron!

And next door at PetSmart there was some cool black light pieces:

The (gill)man himself!

Really neat betta globes (probably will be getting one)

Stay sick. Turn blue. Drop dead.

All that in one Michael's?

The Goth crowd is gonna love that assortment.

Yup! And it's all still pretty dispersed, like there's still more to come to fill in the gaps between isles.

Don't be silly.  That's where the Christmas goes!   ;)

Hepcat

The Canadian Tire, Dollarama and supermarkets in my neighbourhood are all in full Halloween mode since the weekend. Somewhat early in my book, but who am I to say?

:-\
Collecting! It's what I do!
