Mord

10 to Midnight - Great Charles Bronson sex thriller. I hadn't seen this in decades, but it holds up very well.

the next X-Men film is currently in production featuring the Dark Phoenix storyline..

Don't know what "Dark Phoenix" is. Are they recasting the movies?

Dark Phoenix is the classic storyline from the late '70's X-men comics..the cast is the same cast from the last couple of films..Jean Grey becomes the cosmic force known as the Phoenix and her power threatens not just mankind but the Universe itself so the X-Men are torn between defending her from those who would destroy her and stopping her themselves..they did a really crappy watered-down version of this in the X-MEN: THE LAST STAND film.
DARK SHADOWS:

David Collins: "Dead people dont just get up and walk around.."

Sarah Collins: "Sometimes they do."

I watched that yesterday. So, is that it for X-MEN movies? They did the earlier trilogy and the more recent trilogy and a Wolverine trilogy. That's more movies than Harry Potter!

They've just begun preproduction on The New Mutants scheduled for a summer 2018 release.

THE DARK (1979) on Amazon Prime. I really enjoy this oddball, somewhat forgotten little chiller. I wish there was a better print though. - Not so damn 'dark', lol. The unusual cast and soundtrack make it worth a look.

Amazon has a lot of neat flicks to stream. It's fun coming across titles I haven't thought of in years.

Well, that can't be good!

THEM! (1954) was the first to have a big bug as it's main story, but CAT WOMEN OF THE MOON (1953) had a scene with a big old cave dwelling spider in it.

You know that you should be getting some type of kickback for being our resident historian when it comes to print and film media here Mike.  I'll have to track this one down.

Though hardly the most knowledgeable (on any subject) around here, if I know the answer (or can find out), I'll post it.  Donations are welcome, though! See the link on the index page.  :)

CAT WOMEN is available on DVD. Might even be on YouTube?

Mord

House of Blood - Really horrible clichĂ© of a movie. While being transported, prisoners wind up escaping after a freak accident. They wind up in a creepy house filled with every lame horror cliche imaginable. Dreadful acting, pedestrian writing, and shlocky  effects complete this flattened soufflĂ©. Don't watch (thank me later).

Started off with King of Kong Island from 1968.  Its average score on IMDB is 2.3/10.  I gave it a 2.  (I only rate movies as a 1 if they offend me.)  Pretty bad stuff:

Also, Bride of the Gorilla (1941). Enjoyed it for what it was and kind of fun to watch Raymond Burr in this genre. 5/10
