I'll just wait until they're all really cheap like I did with the 30 Film DVD Set.

I'm glad I didn't buy that set!  :)

It was so cheap it was worth buying just to have an example of it in the collection. I knew they would eventually bring the whole thing out on BD though. I'll get the BD set when it gets cheap then that's the end of the line for me. If Uni keeps milking it further by releasing the BD set in variant packaging I'll pass on that.

You're not going to buy the "3D" set?

I don't have a 3D TV.

Weren't there only 2 Unis filmed with 3D versions (CFTBL and ICFOS)?

I was just kidding, but don't they convert old movies to 3D?  I just thought I'd heard that.

I'm fairly ignorant of the whole 3D thing to be honest. Sure would be cool to see Creature in 3D though. I have that version in the Essential Collection of course, just not the proper equipment to watch it.

I just now did some checking and according to IMDb Revenge Of The Creature (1955) had a 3D version as well.

Mike, as a Creature fan, you owe yourself the pleasure of seeing it in 3-D. I thought it was gonna be like the cheesy 3D version they showed on Elvira ages ago. This is in incredibly realistic 3D. When that Creature claw comes at you, it's spectacular. Not only that, but it's the only version in full wide-screen. Revenge has never been released in 3D on home video, but I think that will change with the new set.

It was filmed in 3D, but not released in 3D. But, like Mord said, no home video release. There was a TV showing in 3D back in the '80s.

I hope so!  :)

I have the CFTBL in 3D on the Blu Ray disc, but haven't seen it, yet.

I own the bluray, too. But have never watch the 3D bluray.
When the Creature from the BlacK Lagon was shown in the 80s in 3D, that was super cool.

On Elvira? I remember you had to get the glasses at 7/11 or something. Lots of fun, but the bluray one looks like a modern 3d film. It's that good. I saw it on my brother's 70" TV.  Like most of us, I don't have a 3d tv. :'(

Yep! I picked-up the 3D glasses from 7-11. I think the movie was on a FOX affiliate

Universal Steve

Just heard that on May 16th Universal is releasing the Dracula and Mummy legacy sets on Blu Ray. I guess Frankenstein and Wolfman legacy sets sold well enough to keep going. I just hope they don't pull that crap on these sets like they did on the Wolfman set on Werewolf of London and She Wolf of London. They just cleaned those 2 up because they were "lesser" films. Hey, I paid for a Blu Ray set and expect to get it not just a cleaned up copy. I have a feeling they might pull this on Draculas' Daughter. Let's hope they do the right thing.

The first sequels to Hammer's Curse of Frankenstein and The Mummy. Both on Blu-ray for eight bucks on Amazon. No extras at all but the transfers are clean so totally worth the four bucks per movie. I really like Revenge of Frankenstein. The Curse of the Mummy's Tomb is OK, not great but I blame that on the lack of Christopher Lee or Peter Cushing and the Mummy make up is so caked on that it leaves no room for facial expression by the actor. But still, nice to have at such a low price.
