So my niece and nephew (who are twins) recommended this cartoon to me.
The series just ended after a 2 season run, and I gotta say it is great.
Surprisingly sophisticated for a kids show. I urge you to check it out!

Ohhhhh, sweet lordy!  Gillian, my dear. I have missed you. We are kindred spirits and lead parallel lives at times.  Hahahaha!  I have lived the myths of Gravity Falls for the last 3 years.   My 11 year old grandson has made me attend discussion panels at conventions, we've watched every episode multiple times, I've listened to his conspiracy theories AND I've provided supplies & art studio space for his life sized character builds.  What a show!  And what a way to bond with our young relatives.  I will somehow try to post a pic of the Summerween Trickster he built.  I'm a little rusty on the UMA posting directions these days.

Charp13- Would LOVE to see pix of the build! Glad you got to enjoy the series as well!

The last picture can actually be found on Google.  I put all the kid's project pictures on Pinterest, so it pops up on google when you search for the Summerween Trickster. Which delights my grandson to the moon and back!  He's very proud of his creature builds.    :)

That is some very nice work. It really captures the character!

I'll tell him what you said.  He's 11 and does most of his own work, except for spray painting. I handed him the can, he pressed down on the nozzle, and dramatically coughed like he had consumption!  So I told him. I Would do all future spray painting for him. He is working on life sized Skeleton characters from a video game called " Undertale".. Which I know nothing about.  And last Halloween he made a life size " Springtrap" character from a video game called " Five Nights and Freddy's".  I have convinced him that ANYone could buy scary props...the fun is finding & reusing old materials, and spending very little on supplies.  I wish I had never told him that little Grams-ism.  Hahahaha!   He comes over every Thursday, and the art supplies go flyin'!

charp13

This is the boy on Hallowee with his creation called "Springtrap"

charp13

Or " Halloween", as most people type it.  Hahaha! He was making a smart aleck face in the picture, because Grams ( me) insisted on photographing him on his busy day!  And he's also barefoot like Mowgli!  But he's a good kid!  And he loves building monsters!!

Gillfan

Wow, if he is 11 and doing stuff like that alone, encourage him to continue, he has a talent and I'd love to see what he could do with a few more years of training and practice!

Great job with "Five Nights at Fredies."  In all honesty, I'm turning 60 after halloween, and if it wasn't for my daughter in her 20's, I wouldn't be familiar with "Gravity Falls" "FNAF" or Undertale.    I enjoyed Gravity Falls, and it's a well thought out animated series about Twins spending the summer with their Uncle, in a place sort of like Twin peaks.
What ever happened to my Transylvania Twist?

charp13

Thanks, I'll tell him.  :).  I'll post his Undertale guy when he's done.  He has to make the shoes for the little character, but is just starting on the big skeleton.
