These are statues and not poseable figures? I must have missed that. My interest has faded a bit if this is a the case. I thought these were 1/6 poseable figures.

No, definitely not action figures. They are statues with detailed bases. VERY expensive, too.

Man, you've had a real streak of bad luck. You might want to stick to showers from now on.

This is the truth. This is not the first time this has happened to me. I have suffered frequent injuries to my left flank because it is weaker than my right. I cant tell you how many times I have broken my ribs on this side. Once it happened from coughing when I had bronchitis that turned into pneumonia. I feel like I am 75 instead of 45. Some folks have glass jaws. I have a glass side. Its not going to slow me up too much though. I will be hopping over the finish line with my current DD offering this week. He's looking good in clothes from the pics Martin showed me of the first half. This will make two DD figs bagged up for Martin that havent been up for pre-order yet. So I am ahead there.

I wasnt really sure where to put the Sideshow Returns To Horror. They arent really straight forward statues since they wear clothes. They dont qualify as models. So I just crammed the thread into modern toys. If it needs to be mod moved.....thats ok with me.

The first Sideshow premium format figure (pretty Woman) sells for a small fortune. I imagine the new one with the iconic look will sell well also. >:D

Oh ok. I think I am all set then. Probably going to pass on these. Key word 'probably." ;D I'll predominately stick with customized figures, DD and NECA.

Sideshow no longer does action figures, just highly detailed statues. The new Jason figure (and I imagine Pinhead and Leatherface too) with shipping runs $500.00.

Actually, they do still make action figures sometimes. The only license I'm familiar with off hand is DC, as they've done Joker, Harley, Catwoman, Batman, and Superman (figures, no love for Superman characters, ugh). They're due to start cranking out Marvel figures the same way, having already shown off Deadpool, and apparently the Punisher is next. These have been in the works for a while though, so I wonder when they'll get around to releasing their Wolverine figure too.

There's also an Ash figure due at some point, based on his appearance in Evil Dead II, but again it's been a while since they announced it, with updates coming very slowly it seems.

Sadly, it doesn't seem they want to do actual action figures as often as they used to, and even then, very little horror (and when it is horror, it's modern). Thank goodness for DD.

The price tag is enough to keep me away. I'm glad I had all the Universal quarter scales, but that's enough for me.

I would love to see SS return to The Classic Universal Monsters!

They should also do the Hammer Horrors !!  In honor of Chris Lee, and Peter Cushing.
There needs to be 12" figs. of Curse of Frankenstein, and Dracula, Curse of Werewolf, etc.

Also, I need SS to make a line I have long, long wished for...
The Classic Cinema Clowns-Charlie, Buster, Laurel & Hardy, The 3 Stooges (all six of 'em), Marx Bros, Abbott & Costello !!

Anyone know when these new Sideshow figures are being released?

I believe the figures are Premium format statues.  Although they look like they may be the most accurate and detailed versions of these characters ever produced, I'm sure the price tag will be pretty steep.  Most importantly for me, they won't be poseable, so I'll probably pass on them.

Sideshow Freaks forums probably would be the place to lurk for release dates, pricing, etc. Or sign up fo Sideshow's newsletter.

It still murders me that Sideshow never did an uber cool Vincent Price premium format figure. Just him as him, possibly in gothic attire. I know Victoria Price is approachable about using her late father's likeness. Then there were these beauties that never were intended to go into production. Just to show us what they could do if they were so inclined:

What possible reason could there have been to not put these magnificent figures in production? These are incredible! Actually, incredible is an understatement.

I am not sure. Maybe its licensing? Maybe they don't think there's enough demand? It's absolutely criminal though lemme tell ya.

Both figures are amazing. However, the Peter Cushing is the best likeness I have ever seen. It is a true work of art.

The Cushing is good (though the hair is too flat and the forehead is not quite right), but the Lee is way off. I saw these at the Sideshow booth at one of the Monsterpaloozas. I think Sideshow is only going after the boring "big fish" after scoring licenses with Star Wars, Marvel etc.. As for them doing Universal...they already did just about every possible configuration (8", 12", quarter scale, life size busts, dioramas, bobbles, figurines, Pozers).

Each sculpture has its own little areas that could be tweaked....its true. Its also true I would buy them poste haste, as is, if they ever saw the light of day to actual production.

Mike Hill's Wolfman is still my fave of the pfs I have.
