For the first time on any screen, two iconic monsters will face off in an epic battle royale in the upcoming feature "Tales of Dracula 2: Wolfman vs. Dracula." And YOU can be a part of it!

Our funding page will be coming soon, and YOU can help bring this tale to DVD.

It's YOUR chance to bring the Wolfman and Count Dracula back to life, in this sequel to "Tales of Dracula" (2015, Alpha Home Video).

Please check out the "Tales of Dracula" Facebook Page and Wolfbain Productions for more details!

I am going to be brutally honest here. I couldnt get through the first one. I bought it. I tried to like it....it just wasn't my cup of tea. :'(

Good luck on the second one fellas. I hope you get your funding and wish you well.

Anton, honesty is always appreciated. In fact, since you are the type of fan they are looking to target, it would be really helpful if you perhaps sent the filmmakers an email, or left comments on their Facebook pages. They are planning things out, now. Their hope is to raise enough to shoot "Tales of Dracula" 2 & 3, back-to-back. That way, they can release part 2 in 2017, and part 3 in 2018. They want to make each one better than the last.

I have to agree with your review, Phibes. I watched the entire movie, and while there were elements I liked, I rather yearned for a bit more progress with the storyline and a bit more action. A wonderful try, though, and I hope the second one gets made. I'll end up donating.
Supernatural, perhaps; baloney, perhaps not.

Hey everyone, this is an update as to what's been going on the last couple of weeks.

We've been working on backstory, developing plot devices, to really move Tales of Dracula Part 2 : Wolfman Vs Dracula along.

We have had several phone conversations with individuals who provided reviews of the first Tales of Dracula, discussing some of the obstacles and hiccups we had, and we really enjoyed talking with these folks and we are reviewing the feedback to correct said issues from the previous film.

We realize that with Tales of Dracula 2, we need to seriously up our game by incorporating controlled environments, filming completely on a sound stage, and building all sets (no live locations) along with an editing and audio booth (for ADR), so that the final production on this film will be 1,000% better.

We will be bringing in a much larger crew, including expanding our makeup and art department, as well as having a wardrobe, second camera, AD, a lighting team. If we meet a certain budget level, we want to include a wire team, and a fight choreographer as well.

So many things will be happening over the next few weeks, and we'll try to keep as much information flowing as possible.

We have some amazing new developments happening right now, and it will greatly change the mood and feel of the next film and possibly bring out a ton of nostalgia for the classic film fans.

We can not stress it enough at how excited we are!

Please, PLEASE, stay tuned over the next week or two, and share this message with friends, family and fans of classic horror films the world over!

You will not be disappointed.

Sincerely,
Wolfbain Productions

Over the years as a film and book fan - or even student - I've discovered only a few things about my tastes: (1) I often don't have any clue on what I like or don't like - "the heart loves what it loves" and as soon as I come up with a rule, I discover umpteen exceptions to that rule so ultimately I fall back on the pile of excuses: "I have no idea why I like what I like."

But (2), in the world of Good vs. Bad, I derive satisfaction when the Bad Guy is really bad, AND he is defeated in a way suitable for his villainy.  If he's been brutal, then he meets a brutal demise - it seems that I have a 'need' to see the villainy defeated in an eye-for-an-eye concept or worse.  Eyes for an eye, even!

For example, if the villain has massacred and slaughtered, then a hangman's noose or a single bullet's demise is sooo unsatisfactory.  "They shoulda boiled him in oil like he did his victims-!  And horse-dragged him to the caldron for a few miles, first!"

In some productions, the Good isn't that far separated from the Bad but still the Good seems to need to be heroic at some level, Good at some level, admirable, honorable.

Pardon my ignorance, but what's this about?  Are they trying to say that 2 iconic monsters have never before faced off in a feature?

No, I think they're saying that these two particular monsters have never faced off before. I'm guessing they aren't including 1948's "Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein," because that was a spoof.

Throwing vases in full retreat wasn't exactly one of Dracula's signature moves, either.   ::)
