Did you notice a quality difference from the old print?

Had a chance to compare and the Blu-ray is much better than the DVD (A&C meet Frankenstein).  :)

Phantom of the Paradise!

One of the greatest Cult Classic films......and still underrated.

Earth Versus the Flying Saucers (1956) b & w version

The Last Man on Earth (1964)

*Both blue-rays look pretty good. "Last Man" looks a lot better than the old dvd version I have.

Dawn of the Dead (1978) - This movie becomes more classic with every new viewing.

Mark McGovern

Last weekend Mrs. McG and I watched Bride of Frankenstein (1935).  We hadn't seen it in awhile and weren't interested in whatever flick Svengoolie was ruining, so we popped the classic in.  I've been working on an accurized setting for the Moebius Frankenstein figure and have become pretty well acquainted with the layout of the door to the laboratory.  So it came as some surprise to see that the set is quite different in Bride; I always assumed that Universal had retained those massive watchtower walls, but apparently the company didn't.
I build, therefore I am.

The 7th Voyage of Sinbad!

It's funny how the best of these old classics never seem to tarnish.  You can take them off the shelf and watch them and they're just as fun to watch and pretty to look at as they were back when you first saw them.  Astonishing.

Like for sure. Like....totally. Dawn of the Dead is such a masterpiece. The uncut/Director's cut is even better.
