But, my favorite make-up is House of Frankenstein, hands down. I think that is the pinnacle of the Wolf Man make-ups. I love his furious look here:

I'm a fan of the makeup from the original film.  It just seems more "pure" (if that's the right word).  The other incarnations are all still loveable, but The Wolf Man was the first wolf man movie I'd ever seen and I was overwhelmed by the makeup, story, atmosphere, lighting, acting, etc.  It's probably only natural that I have an affinity for everything in the movie.

Seems like I saw this image on the Chaney Jr. documentary on the Universal Monster Blu-Ray set. I think they showed this when they were talking about his attempted suicide shortly after the movie wrapped. Unfortunately, it fits.

They never got the snout quite right. The Ellis Burman snout created for Pierce's Wolf Man makeup had more of a porcine look to it than canine at the tip of the snout. The A&CMF design just looks like a wide human nose.
