One of the most beautiful and charismatic ladies of all time--she had some rough patches in later years, and it's good to think of her as being at peace now at last.

Ah, Betty... please be at rest, wherever you may be. You gave a lot of joy to a lot of folks, and no matter what your image was, you kept your class.

Relax now. Thanks for the memories.

Yes, she seemed to be kicked around by life---I've never understand how she went undiagnosed for years with schizophrenia.  But a very attractive woman in her prime.

She had to be the most influential stripper of all time.  How many young girls have emulated her style?  Thousands?  Millions?

More popular today than she was in her prime.  That's a pretty amazing feat for a fetish model, when most from that era are looked at today as "naked grandmas".

RIP Bettie Page

Betty became such a mythical figure from that era that when I talk about her, often people are surprised that she is/was a real person, they seem to think she was created by an artist or mutliple models posed as "Betty Page" for photo shoots (which they have done in recent years).  She certainly was a larger then life figure.

Bettie was a beautiful lady.  RIP

Ah, Bettie...!

As a child of the 50's, I remember her fondly.  She was in the center of many of my dearest fantasies.

The later leather outfits did nothing for me.  I just liked seeing her in anything that was tight enough to emphasize her wonderful figure.  Seeing her dressed in a Daisy Mae costume was enough to get the blood coursing through my boyish veins.

Another 50's icon gone.

I remember you, Bettie.  I always will.

IMO the greatest cheesecake model ever. I also really like the Irving Klaw leather/bondage stuff. Plus some of those "bad girl" flicks are just plain funny. A definite Icon.  :(

She influenced a lot of today's artists.  Dave Stevens (Rocketeer, Zacherley Scrapbook) was a big fan and did a lot to bring her to our attention.
