BARON TIMOTHEUS BGG

Dear UMA FANG-MILY,
... I watched THE MAGIC SWORD, on TMC, yesterday {Sat, Nov. 29th}, with BASIL RATHBONE, as the evil Mage, LODAC.
... I hadn't seen this film, since its theatrical release, in AD 1962, when I was a young MONSTER KID, age 13 years.
... I noticed, that, the OGRE'S Mask {the 1st, of 7 curses} was a scant remodeling, of  the mask, from THE MONSTER ON CAMPUS {AD 1958}, which bore its lineage, from A&C MEET DR. J. & MR. H, with BORIS in the Title role {AD 1953}.
... HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Yesterday I watched a movie someone gave us, by Troma Films called Terra Firma. It had its moments.  Feeling compelled to gargle my brain, my Sweetie-pie and I then watched Bride of Frankenstein last night. Aaaah that's better.

The Land Unknown. Have not seen this in at least 30 +years. Tho not as good as The land/people time forgot , Mysterious Island . Journey to the Center of the Earth etc this is still a mid quality for it's time typical people get stuck on an isolated island with dinosaurs. The T-Rex HAD to be a guy in a rubber suit. Out of 5 I'd give this 2 1/2 stars.

The Deadly Mantis. I Luvs me giant bug films. Another I have not seen since the 70's. The first 30+ mins is all formulaic what is it where did it come from. After that it gets pretty cool and the end in the tunnel over turning 4 inch tin litho cars is a fun view. So the next time I watch I'll hit it at around the 30 min mark to start. 3 outta 5 stars.

Watched "Dawn of the Dead" `78 version, and three episodes of "Lancelot Link: Secret Chimp".

Over the long weekend I watched:

Alien Vs. Predator:  Requiem (would like to say it was good, but any potential enjoyment was ruined by the fact the picture was so dark I couldn't tell what was going on.)

The Black Dahlia (book was better, of course, but actually the movie was not too bad.  Blue Dahlia was better  ;).)

Throne of Blood (some really nice, creepy scenes in this retelling of Macbeth, and starring one of my favorites, Toshiro Mifune.)

The House on Haunted Hill (again and again and again...no matter how many times I've seen it, I never get tired of this movie.)

Godzilla Vs. Megalon (the Mystery Science Theater version -- I was lucky enough to get Volume 10 before it was pulled from the shelves.)
They're going to make you one of them, my peacock!

Memphremagog

HALLOWEEN(2007)
MURDER IN THE BLUE ROOM(1944)
FRANKENSTEIN: THE TRUE STORY(1973)
DARK SHADOWS:

Sarah Collins: "Sometimes they do."

I watched a couple of recent bootleg purchases:
Godzilla Vs Megalon
Godzilla Vs Biollante
I'm still kicking myself for missing out on the MST3K version of  "Megalon" though :( I'm now three movies away from having all of Godzilla's films to date. I originally set out to just pick up all the Showa Era films ("Gojira" to "Terror of Mechagodzilla"), but I snagged a few good deals on enough of the Heisei and Millenium Era films that I just figured I might as well get all of them.
