And an shrunken head kit for $10.

Man, I remember drooling over this from the Warren Captain Co. ads.  Always thought it looked cool with the Vincent Price box.  Groovy find Paul.

Picked these up on Ebay last week. These are injection molded figures made on location. The 2 Dinos are from Chicagos Field Museum and the 2 critters from Chicagos Brookfield zoo. I remember having a couple of these as a kid in the 60's. You'd put in your 2 quarters (back then) and the machine would start up the pistons pushing and that heavenly smell of molten plastic. The price for these babies. ALL for $11 delivered. OMG!

Thanks guys, the Shoguns are keepers and I too love the shrunken head kit. I had one as a kid and made the hell out of some apple and potato heads.

The Creature mugs are made by Boo Tiki and he'll have them for sale on his website as of April 1st and I'll post a link. Jeff is a good honest guy and his mugs are the shiz!

Lester, I remember seeing one of those machines during a visit to San Fran as a kid. Was fun to see the machine do it's thing!

I walked into my usual antique emporium today and spotted Frankie on a shelf.....for $20 had to have him. Thank goodness the wife wasn't there to protest. he is a hollow cast plaster.  I know someone here knows something bout this guy...age...from where, etc. I am all ears. Last pic is with my Frankie Soakie to show scale...he is a big-un!

I've seen him in a heavy solid cast with different paint

Wicked Lester - Oh man do those bring back memories of both places.  I was born in 1969, so my memories are from the mid 70's.  While I don't remember the 2 dinos, I vividly remember the 'gator and the panther.  They also had an ape (with his hand up - kind of waving "hello") and a dolphin available at that time.  Maybe a few others also.

I would love to have a set.  Those were great.

The original Frankenstein 12½" design was made by Theatrical Creations (TCI), 1974.

That design was copied in a 18"  sized bank.  And also modified as a 23" Son of Frankenstein size.

Yours is supposed to be from Son of Frankenstein, with the sheepskin vest (harder to find).  Looks like someone didn't like the knobby vest look and wanted to change it.  They normally cost much more than $20.00!  You got a steal.

I think they were sold in Mexico to border tourists.  (If I have these details all wrong, someone rescue me with the correct info.)

I've never seen any two painted the same way - and always garish colors.  I have seen the larger versions with both textured bases and a smooth bases.

The 12½" TCI statue with the two Mexican knock-off's.

Another Son of Frankenstein paintjob.

Here are another couple examples of the 18" Frankenstein bank.

So there is:

Easy to see how big he is.  That's an Enesco statue he's standing next to.  (Looks like yours is one with a smooth base.)

BigBud stole his for $20.00.  I want to shop at that store!

Good stuff! Those are really nice to begin with, but to be able to replace something you had as a kid for $11 is just too awesome!

No chance....not giving out the details of that place. I go there all the time as things keep changing and new (old) stuff keeps coming in. And the place is just like walking back into the 60's or something. Pretty cool to have such a place when the norm seems to be large establishments like Brass Armadillo where everything in every booth has had a price guide drug over it 15 times.
