The way the weather is right now it's great to look outside and see and hear the same weather that is in the movie.

I agree, I love watching "The Thing" in the winter when snow is falling as well as "The Abominable Snowman" , and "The Crawling Eye"
as they are great "snowfall" films

Lord of the Rings trilogy, hadn't really watched them since they came out in theaters!  I was a little aprehensive, thinking I wouldn't enjoy them as much but....Loved every Tolkien minute of them!  And now I'm contemplating the Blu-ray extended editions; I believe there is more Chrisopher Lee and more of the undead army (in Return of the King) so those two things right there sell me!
