Hey everyone! I wasn't exactly sure where to put this thread, but it's pretty much a giant toy so I figured this was the place! We just finished this guy up in our workshop a few days ago. We got inspired one day by the classic Aurora monsters in cars models and started talking about how cool it would be to have one of those but with a life size monster in a tiny car and then make the whole thing radio controlled! So we started looking up cool looking kids electric ride on toy cars and hot-rodded it out a bit, then fabricated a custom Ed Roth inspired Nosferatu to drive it! I sculpted the head and hands and then cast the head in latex stretched over a lexan shell and cast the hands in resin. The body is lightweight solid cast foam with flexible joints. As he drives, the headlights and tail lights light up, and as you steer him we made his head look left and right. His top speed is about 3 or 4 mph and he stands about 3.5' tall and 4' long. I plan on shooting some video of him driving around and I'll post it up as soon as I do! We plan to make him available for sale and are talking about doing additional ones with different style cars and different characters driving them. We are also working on a new line of original 1/10th scale r/c monster hot rods too and go faster and having LED lighting installed in them.

Monsters For Sale

Oh, that's so cool!

What price range are you thinking about?

How about making the cars appropriate to the year of the movie?  Frankenstein could be driving a 1931 Model A Ford, and Creature could be driving a 1954 Corvette.

Dracula could be driving anything 1931 or before - after all he is hundreds of years old.

Will love to see the video!

Thanks!

We have him priced at $900 and It comes all set up and ready to drive complete with the controller and batteries.

We want to do a zombie grave digger in a hot rod hearse and we would LOVE to do a Creature inspired one in a boat that can drive on land OR in the water! I love the idea of Frankenstein in a Model A Ford! That would look really slick!
