Some of those barely rate "singer".   ;)

I chose AL GREEN, FRANK SINATRA, JAMES BROWN and HANK WILLIAMS.  Senior.

No ELVIS PRESLEY

No, too easy. But I am a fan of Elvis and his music. I was going to list John Lennon. But, I ******* hate the Beatles, John Lennon and everything those
overrated musicians represented. Yes. I wrote that, and meant that, with all my being. ;D

Oh bull.  SINATRA isn't "too easy"?  You "hate" THE BEATLES?  'Cause you're so cool?   You're right about one thing.  JOHN LENNON also belongs on your list.

One thing's for sure.  LENNON had great taste in music.

Nope. The Beatles are awful. You don't have to be cool to hate the Beatles.  Probably the only talent of the band, was,
Paul McCartney? He was better in WINGS. I will never understand the Love for the Beatles. The bands I was influenced on, were influenced by the Beatles. There are so my talented and much better musicians in that time period, than the Beatles. For example: The Rolling Stones( now that is amazing talent). The Stones will decimate the Beatles any day.

Oh fiddle-dee-dee!!. Here come the hate -mail?! >:D

Nah, not at all.  I've encountered BEATLES haters nearly from day one.  Good on you.  However, I must point out you yourself suggested considering JOHN LENNON for your list.  I think that a wise consideration.
Here's a BEATLES the critics hate, one of my own favorites:
Yer Blues - The Beatles

Here's a JOHN LENNON that most critics like, who gives a sh!t?  I love it and LENNON's right:
John Lennon - I Found Out

I've posted on other forums and when someone requests that you pick 'from the list' ... I do just that .. we have our own likes and dislikes .. I would take The Beatles over Wings in a heartbeat .. I think that John Lennon (R.I.P.) was over rated but that's only my opinion. All the John & Yoko hype and b/s turned me off.

Since the subject has come up about 'talent' and The Beatles .. many people tend to under estimate George Harrison's talent.  Growing up .. Paul was 'the cute one' and I guess if anyone asked I would say that he was my favorite.

Today, I would tell you that I really appreciate George and that I don't have a favorite Beatle and I do prefer George's 'after The Beatles' music to that of the other three.
