"Night of the Creeps" -1986

I picked this up at the Best Buy bargain bin -a blu ray for $7.99! Somehow, I never saw this before, but I had heard good things about it, and it was made by Fred Dekker, who made "Monster Squad," which I enjoyed. Well, I found it to be mediocre at best. The three young leads are terrible, incapable of acting their way out of a paper bag. Tom Atkins gives his usual workmanlike "I'm here, what do you want me to do?" performance. There are flashes of inspiration, such as the beginning, with its homage to 50s sci fi films (shot in black and white, no less). But overall, it's a by the numbers flick with little excitement. A much  better contemporary film would be "Return of the Living Dead."

A classic...maybe you had to see this one back in the late 80's to really appreciate it?!

Crazy am I? We'll see if I'm crazy or not!

DoctorDeath

Snowbeast (1977)
Horror of the Zombies (1974)
The Devil Bat (1940)
Tower of London (1939)
The Crater Lake Monster (1977) - It's really not often that I don't finish a movie that have chose to watch, but God, I could not even make it halfway through this movie. I have seen TONS of B movies and really enjoyed most of them, but dear God, this movie was a complete and utter waste of time. The "comic relief" that dominated this film was terrible and while I enjoyed the monster, there wasn't nearly enough of him to justify finishing it. I'm not even sure there was actually a story.

Phantom Stranger

"The Amazing Spider-Man" (2012)

Plot: IMDB
Peter Parker/Spider-Man finds a clue that might help him understand why his parents disappeared when he was young. His path puts him on a collision course with Dr. Curt Connors, his father's former partner.

Phantom's Review: I personally found "Amazing" to be ...adequate. Not a bad film by any means. Good FX (if you don't mind a ton of CGI) good cast , story but the film seemed to lack the fun and excitement of the first two Sam Rami pictures. I really didn't see the point of retelling the origin over again. It made the first half hour of the film drag. But my biggest complaint with this film (as well as many other super hero movies) WHY THE HELL DO THEY KEEP TAKING OFF THE MASK!
Most of the film , he was walking around in his Spidey suit with no mask on. Do the producers feel the audience is so stupid that we would forget what the actor looked liked? It was an Okay film, I just hope the sequel is better.
