"Traveler of both time and space..."

This is a commercial from a much beloved, now long gone regional fast food chain called Burger Chef. Monsters were a big deal at Burger Chef, and monster characters included WolfBurger, FangBurger, CackleBurger the Witch and FrankenBurger. I have a complete set of plastic vinyl Monster Records from the chain. Burger Chef is famous for inventing the "Fun Meal" before McDonald's created the Happy Meal, which they basically stole from Burger Chef. Fun Meals often included Monster themes and toys.

There was a great old Bic pen commercial with Richard Kiel as Frankenstein's Monster, chipping himself out of a block of ice with the pen...then using the still-intact pen to write a thank you note to Bic! Couldn't find it online, though.

Here it is! Pretty cool. That doesn't look like Richard Kiel, though. Are you sure it's him?

Does anybody here remember a commercial in the last 20 years or so that shows the Frankenstein Monster carrying a beer truck (I think it was beer, anyway) held over his head?  Been trying to find it on YouTube.
" Perhaps he dimly wonders why, there is no other such as I. "

It was a Pepsi/Doritos commercial.

Frankenstein is sent after party refreshments and returns carrying a huge delivery truck stocked with Pepsi and Doritos.  Dracula complains, "What, no dip?"

Tried to find the video, but it has been deleted by YouTube because the copyright holder complained.

Did find this one, though:

Pepsi and Doritos Monster Match (1991)

UPDATE:  FOUND IT!

Pepsi/Doritos Monster Mash 1992 Commercial

Looks like it was shot at Universal Studios using Colonial Street and the Bates House.

Cool.

I remember those commercials. Most definitely the Universal backlot.

Character actor John Fiedler plays the grocer.

He was TERRIFIC!! He's been on screen in a million things, but I always loved him as Jack The Ripper on Star Trek!

That's it, MFSLove that one!  Don't know why I thought it was beer ;).  Thanks for posting that, Adam.
