There are to many great scores for me to pick just one. Hans Zimmer, Graeme Revell, James Newton Howard & Bernard Hermann are a few composers well worth listening to.
"Traveler of both time and space..."

Street Worm

My top 5 (I think) ;)

The Exorcist
Phantasm
Hellraiser
Puppet Master (I like a lot of Richard Band's stuff)

My favorite horror related composers are Hans J Salter from the Universal films, James Bernard of Hammer fame, John Carpenter(especially the score for Halloween), Les Baxter from  the early AIP films, Goblin, Fabio Frizzi who scored most of Lucio Fulci's films and more sci-fi related are Jerry Goldsmith's Star Trek score, Shunsuke Kikuchi who scored mayn of the original Gamera films and countless live action and anime series,Barry Gray who scored most of Gerry Anderson's TV series and my favorite composer of all times-Akiria Ifukube, legendary compser for Toho's Godzilla series and many of their other monster and sci-fi films as well as many samurai films.
Crazy am I? We'll see if I'm crazy or not!

There's a lot of them, but John Williams score for Dracula ('79) sticks out.
"Well friends, that's all there is to life: just a little laugh, a little tear." - Prof. Echo (Lon Chaney, Sr.)

Wolfman

Halloween, Psycho & The Exorcist stand out from all the rest IMO.
