Coincidentally, I had my heart broken a couple of nights ago when I broke out my 1970s ViewMaster to check out some 1960s Hollywood reels I had just gotten, only to discover that I guess my astigmatism is so bad now that I CAN'T SEE THE IMAGES IN 3D ANYMORE :o

No matter how hard I tried, I could not force my eyes to blend the right and left images together and give the 3D effect.  :'(
We're all here because we're not all there.

So sorry to hear that. Maybe a View Master projector would be a better way to view the slides. You could project them onto the wall where the whole family could see them.

View-Master also made a Universal Studios Scenic Tour packet #1. This set has some cool images of masks in the make-up department and it looks like there's a pair of Creature hands on the table. The reels also have "Eerie Hitchcock dummies" and the "Psycho house". It also features Frankenstein's monster on the front as well as on reel C, image #7.

I think it's the Godzilla one that has the best graphics though!

The Godzilla set pictured above has this monster quiz in the booklet. I expect you all to pass even though whoever put the quiz together didn't quite pass because they list the last monster pictured as being Godzilla. It looks like the Beast from 20,000 Fathoms to me.

A pox on whoever put the quiz together! I hope that the Beast from 20,000 Fathoms eats him for breakfast.

And this Krofft Supershow #1 pictured on the left has the characters dressed up like a Frankenstein, werewolf and vampire.

I like the ElectraWoman and DynaGirl slide!

;)
Collecting! It's what I do!

Yeah, the Godzilla set is a fun one.

I used to have a crush on DynaGirl.
