Nice score, Anton! Congratulations!!

thanks bro.I havent been buying much of anything lately. But the deal on this was too good to refuse. especially since I have been hunting his siggy on a photo from the first film that I knew was legit. Apparently he had a passive aggressive thing going for awhile--- and signed the Norman photos in hard to see areas with a dark marker. But this one is easily seen with great contrast.

I am more than happy with it. Another grail obtained. Quite affordably as well.

More In The Attic

Picked up not one but two original signed 5 x 7's of Rondo Hatton aka The Creeper.  Currently have the other being offered on eBay to auction.  Never thought I'd ever own one of these let alone two.

The following is a 48.50 experiment that worked out  splendidly.  This photo is signed by the late Robert Quarry. On a great Count Yorga profile shot.  Unfortunately, when he signed it, the pen squirted all over the photo, A big glob on the lower right hand side, and scattered speckles all over it. I thoguht it was worth bidding under $50 to take a chance that I might be able to get the gold splatter off.

Using a black dry erase marker, I colored over the gold splotch and splatter. I repeated this process, writing and wiping about 12-15 times.  the result worked splendidly, as I said.

So---it was worth the risk...and the gamble paid off.

My prize autograph is this 5x7 photo of Boris Karloff:

It came from the collection of a WWII seargent who had amassed an amazing collection of stars from the war years.  Many of his autographed photo's had very lengthy personal inscriptions, thanking him for his service.  Edward G. Robinson wrote all over about half of his 8x10.

This would have been obtained about 1942, when Karloff was in New York, starring in "Arsenic and Old Lace".  It is consistent with others from the same time period.  It is signed with a fountain pen and has all the little puddles that occur when the tip pauses during a change of direction.

I like mine because the signature is just a little larger and better centered than most of the similar autographed photos I have seen.

I'm not questioning your honesty, but perhaps you'd better send it along so I can see for myself.

No problem.

All my envelopes are a little smaller than the photo... but, paper folds - right?
