This could have been a fun series for Universal in the 1930-40s:

These came out great.

There's actually a really good Sherlock Holmes pastiche called "Sherlock Holmes Vs. Dracula; or, The Adventure of the Sanguinary Count," by the late Loren D. Estleman. It inserts Holmes and Watson into the London portion of Stoker's novel, and tells how they thwart Dracula's plan to escape to America. This was followed by Estleman's "Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Holmes." Fred Saberhagen also wrote a similar novel, "The Holmes/Dracula File," that's part of his larger Dracula series. Author and filmmaker Nicholas Meyer ("The Seven-Per-Cent Solution," "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan") pitted Holmes against Erik, the Opera Ghost, in his novel "The Canary Trainer."

A screenplay that always makes the list of best unproduced scripts is "Sherlock Holmes and the Vengeance of Dracula." It almost got produced, but director Chris Columbus (who directed the earlier "Young Sherlock Holmes") abandonned the project to direct "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," instead.

Thanks, these were fun. I hope to do more later when I find compatible images......

I'd love to have seen a film of Holmes vs. Dracula. That series of books with him up against the Monsters sounds interesting.

When I did my own shelved Monster project I clothed Van Helsing like Holmes because so many Holmes fans are Monster buffs.

Couple more cross-overs:

How about someone make a photo with Homes face to face with w
Wolf Frankenstein. :D
Listen to them. Children of the Night. What music they make!

Those are all great, jerod and yes, I wish Uni had done that crossover, at lease once!

Had to make a couple using "Son of Frankenstein" as a base:

LOVED Rathbone and Bruce as Holmes and Watson almost as much as the Monsters themselves when I was a wee lad!!

I don't think the pipe is necessary in this shot. Rathbone had a moustache as Wolf, so no moustache = Holmes. The pipe is superfluous and obviously 'Shopped in. Almost looks like a Color-forms piece stuck to the pic.

Don't forget, of course, that Rathbone Holmes and Bruce/Watson DID encounter at least one "Monster"-- Rondo Hatten

"The Creeper" made his film debut in "The Pearl of Death", a re-working of "The 6 Napoleans"

Nice pics, btw!!

One of my favorite Holmes, is Peter Cushing.  Too bad Hammer never attempted to do a Holmes/Dracula film.
