Mark! That piece is amazing! I always love cool and different Invisible Man stuff! Gorgeous work as always!

I have been up to my eyeballs in work lately! The concert series I was working on had it's debut show a week or so ago, so I was getting all the multimedia together and organized and programmed for it and then I had to do all sorts of new marketing art for it's tour in the fall, so it's been crazy around here! But I FINALLY got back some some monster work that I had started before the show and just put the finishing touches on this...

Do you like monsters? They're my only weakness...

Mark and Creaturerevenge: stellar pictures from both of you.

Mark, I really like how you took what seems to me a difficult moment to capture and you nailed it! You can just see him reappearing.

CR: I like the design of this. The burning windmill as a unifying object is a great choice!

Just finished up a piece I've been working on for a while now inspired by the Silent Hill film and game series. Ironically the trailer for the new film came out today too which looks amazing!

Since I've nothing new to post, I'll revisit an earlier theme of this thread where we were posting older pieces. The first is a drawing I did for my grandma when I was 15. We always got TV Guide magazine, and I *loved* the great Jack Davis covers. I copied this one and gave it to her:

The second one is a copy I did of a Frank Frazetta painting called The Silver Warrior. I was 17 when I painted this, and it hung in my parents' bedroom for years, probably because it matched the color of the walls! LOL!!

Another oldie, from the early 80's. I have always loved Haddon Sundblom's Santa paintings, and you can see this was heavily influenced by him. My folks always had schnauzers when i was growing up, so I included one just for fun! This was done as a gift for them that year.

Great stuff, Mike!  I couldn't copy a Frazetta unless I scanned it & printed it out!

Awesome teenager art! I guess we all started out copying something. The earliest images I remember trying to emulate were frames from Carl Barks' Donald Duck comics (Uncle Scrooge, Gyro Gearloose, etc.). Those are long gone...

Thanks, UP. When I was ten years old I saw my first Frazetta and it blew my mind!! When I started taking art lessons from Lloyd Ostendorf he was able to show me how he thought Frank did it, which took some of the mystique out of it, but none of the wonder.
