I thought that since the title is "Here in Brazil" that we should broaden our Brazilian experience to include hairy drag hobos.  Coffin Joe is scary, but that...

is positively frightening !

Yeah, I hear hairy drag hobos have become a real scourge in Brazil lately....;)

You don't think it's a film for the Brazilian Dept.of Tourism,do you ?
If it is ,it's not working.

I finally updated my Diary do Demonio web site to include my latest Coffin Joe adventure:

Paging Raymond Castile!

It's been a while. Have you heard any more news about EoE getting a release stateside? A future DVD release, maybe? Merchandising news? Inquiring minds want to know.

Also, I found this photo on the net, though for the life of me, I can't remember where...

Any idea what Mojica is being honored here for? I can't read it. Could this be some kind of Brazilian equivalent to a star on the Hollywood walk of fame?

No, I haven't heard anything about distribution.  That photo must be recent, since he's wearing the medallion from the new movie, and his beard is dyed black, which he did the first week of August.

Here is an interview with me conducted last week:

Um... one catch...it's in Portuguese.  But because I am so endlessly fascinating, you will want to read it anyway.

It is part of this set of interviews connected to Embodiment of Evil:

Of course, they are all in Portuguese.

Here is a subtitled version of the Embodiment of Evil trailer:

I'm surprised it's taken this long for a subtitled version to surface.

By the way, the official movie web site is in English now.  It's extremely cool, so take a look:

La Cosa magazine in Argentina has a little interview with me in their December issue.  They sent me the page as a pdf, which I then converted to the jpg seen below.  They said they would also send me a hardcopy of the issue when it comes out.  I think this was one of the interviews I did at the premiere.

After translating this, I see that I mentioned this year's Rondo awards in Louisville and my presentation to Michael Schlesinger.  So I managed to give the Rondos a little international publicity.  Ha!

That text is a bear to read at my 1280x800 screen resolution, but that title is pure awesome. I'm going to say it... Rubens Mello, eat your heart out. :D

Rubens and I actually communicate quite a bit on Orkut and through email.  He sent me some CDs a few weeks ago.  He's a really good guy, one of the best guys I met in Brazil.  And internet savvy.  So you never know, he might pop in here one day!

I've talked to him through YT a couple of times, and he seems like a pretty nice guy. I joke, but I know there's only one sucessor to the Coffin Joe character. Why don't you invite him to join us? We need more guys in top hats and capes... er, I mean we need more CJ fans in this group.
