Cleaned out the upstairs room to be a studio/guest room. Not quite sure yet what form it'll take, except I know I'm adding a futon.

That's a nice space. Love the wood trim!

... in that last photo there's a Tex Avery book to the extreme left. Is that the one with the French text? If not could you give me some further info on it?

I too have that one, and it's a fabulous book!

Agreed Hep! It is probably my favorite classic animation book I have! Here's the rest of my Monster Room pics:

Do you have a place in your monster room to sit and relax and just bask in the glow of your collection?

???

I do hep-I have a work desk where I build kits, draw and paint, use the laptop or just sit and enjoy the room

I am thinking of painting this Pteranodon like Turu from Johnny Quest.

Oh, I like pterodactyls! They've always been one of my favourite animals.

I see you have some painted Uncle Milton Marx Universal monster recasts. Do you have any original Marx Universal monsters or other Marx figures in there some place as well? How about MPC Pop-Tops or the smaller MPC Weird Monsters?

How about thylacines? I think you should start a shelf for those.

The Marx Creature looks like he's singing "Lean On Me" to The Phantom and I do believe Gamera is trying to look up the 50' Woman's dress!

Unbelievable room!  I mean it!  I don't believe it's there.  I think it's in some weird dimension where thousands of monsters, luchadors & superheroes hang out.

And I want to go there.

RK, while I love and appreciate more narrowly focused collections, my truest affections are for more eclectic ones like yours!! Fantastic!!

Thanks guys. I love sharing my collection with other monter kids that get it. I don't have any original Marx figures-yet! I also don't have any MPC pop tops, but they are on my list as well. I do have 1 of the small sized MPC weird monsters, the Frankenstein type one. I had a bunch of them as a kid int he early 80s, all in glow in the dark plastic. I had a playset of some kind with a castle and other similar sized plastic knights, vikings and gargoyle type guys as well as a bag of them. Unfortunately the one Franky is the only one that survived. :( Mark, you're on to me-I created a dimensional vortex and was able to tap into the monster toy dimension LOL! My problem is I like so many different genres-classic monsters, modern monsters, Japanese monters from movie and TV shows, Mexican wrestlers, comics, Italian Hercules movies, 50s B movies, grindhouse movies, eurohorror, Trek, Dr Who,anime, clasic animation, classic comedy, classic westerns, etc etc! I try and get omething from each genre, some obviously have more product than others.

It must have been this Dragon Crest playset right here;

That was the set indeed! The viking and other monter type guys came from a different similar set I got around the same time. The Enter the Dragon figure came out back around 1999 or 2000. They are really nice but I was disappointed they did not do Jim Kelly as well.
