Yes!  I have always thought this was underrated.  When it had come out, it felt like Michael was taken as far as they could so I welcomed the more anthologic feel to III.

The Bride of Frankenstein over the original Frankenstein, and pretty much any of the Mummy movies (where you actually see the Mummy) over the original Mummy.
