The one that got removed from ebay:

The card on google image search:

The one on RR:

As you can see, it is the same postcard.

I use fountainpen ink myself and can tell you that it is EASY to remove.
The seller has removed the old signature and tried to clean up the card but he can not remove bent edges.

This is a REAL shame, very sad.
I thought RR would be better than this.
Guess you can 't trust anyone anymore.

And yes, that signature is not signed by Colin Clive, I could bet my life on it.

I contacted RR with info I had from the ebay auction, now they have removed the listing.
Good to see they actually did care.
Happy Halloween  u6juu  ;)

Makes me kind of nervous about the couple signatures that I do have from R&R.

I'm surprised they didn't scrutinize the Clive signature. It looks questionable right away.

If it is a Clive, let me see a picture & I can tell you what my opinion is.
Also, get the ink tested.

Yeah..this guy does a sloppy job ! It looks, in my eyes, NOTHING like a Clive signature.
I have seen better forged ones and believe it or not WORSE ones..oh god..I must find it and post it here.
This:

The crook must have been confused and though it was a Coca Cola signature or something ??!
That is one nasty fake.

Research is key and get the ink tested.
Just because a seller has great feedback or is a big auction house does not make it safe, trust your instincts and ask people familiar with the autograph in question.

There is another fake for sale online, seen it on both ebay and ioffer.
I will not name the seller because the other signatures in the display looks alright, perhaps not the Karloff - but I do not know his signature all that well, but this is a photo of the Clive that is not authentic, not a bad job exactly but it have several mistakes and not at all the right shape:

R&R are among the best. It might've slipped passed them temporarily and are probably very grateful for the information you provided them with. They really are a top notch autograph seller...so its surprising it slipped pass them. But they really do care about the hobby.

Thanks for the offer, but one is a Sammy Sosa, I can't remember the other one.
