Anyone have albums where they literally liked every song? I don't mean "Best of..." albums, I mean disks where you didn't jump past tracks to avoid a weaker song or number. A few I was always able to listen to withuot a let up were:

Breakfast in America (Supertramp)
Business as Usual (Men at Work)
Rubber Soul (The Beatles)
Canned Wheat (The Guess Who)

Any come to mind for you?
Supernatural, perhaps; baloney, perhaps not.

Easy:
The 1st three Queen albums (Queen, Queen II, Sheer Heart Attack)
Beatles: Revolver & all compilations
Jethro Tull: War Child
Rolling Stones: Exile On Main St. & Love You Live
Tommy & Jesus Christ Superstar soundtracks
"Well friends, that's all there is to life: just a little laugh, a little tear." - Prof. Echo (Lon Chaney, Sr.)

Social Distortion- Mainliner
Queen- A Kind of Magic  :)
Queen- The Game  (ahhhhhhhhh)
Rancid-  Let's Go!

Easy:

Jethro Tull: War Child

Lindy, you just scored points as far as I'm concerned! I'm on a couple Tull boards and a lot of folks don't like War Child. I think it's one of their strongest albums. I've liked Back Door Angels since I first heard it over thirty years ago! I think it's one of Martin Barre's finest solos. Do you have the remaster with the bonus tracks? It's definitely a must have!

You know this is an excellent thread. I've got well over 600 cd's, but to be perfectly honest there are few albums where I can honestly say I like every single song. I would definitely have to include:

King Crimson: In the Court of the Crimson King
Rush: A Farewell to Kings
Jethro Tull: Aqualung
Jethro Tull: Thick as a Brick
Jethro Tull: A Passion Play (Mike, I cheated twice!  ::))
Pink Floyd: Wish You Were Here
Gentle Giant: Octopus
ELP: Pictures at an Exhibition

QuoteCanned Wheat (The Guess Who)

Pauspy, I've seen that album in the boxes at my local antique emporium.......on your recommendation I'll pick it up!

Mike, Love every one you mentioned........don't know Gentle Giant, so I'll give a listen to Octopus.  Buddy

Some already mentioned, some not.  It's tricky because most times, I'd just pick an artist's or group's "Best of" or "Greatest Hits" album.

Meatloaf "Bat Out Of Hell"  &  "Bat Out Of Hell II"

Styx "Cornerstone"

Supertramp "Breakfast In America"

Prince "Purple Rain"

Kate Bush "Hounds of Love"

KISS "Destroyer"

AC/DC "Back in Black"

I figured that would be cheating.  ;)

Forgot a few.

Pink Floyd "Dark Side of the Moon"

The Kinks "Lola"

ELP "Brain Salad Surgery"

Many artists I like all the songs on several albums!

Yes, I do have the remaster & I love the bonus tracks! I've been a Tull fan for years, but it took me awhile to get around to War Child, then it became an immediate fav. I also love A Passion Play (my fav before hearing War Child).

Gentle Giant had a very unusual sound. I used to describe it as "Robin Hood with an electric guitar".  Kinda Celtic/rock I guess. I have almost their whole catalog plus two dvd's. Something I found odd was for years I had listened to them, not quite figuring out their unique sound. When I watched the dvd, it was almost as if the "magic" was gone when I realized they were just (extremely) talented musicians. They did use unusual instruments (cello, violin, flute) for a rock band. Almost every member of the band played several instruments!!

Let me know what you think.

Think I'd better give them a listen. Gentile Giant was the opening act for Black Sabbath in San Diego around '71.  I remember it seemed unusual, but their girlfriends (or wives ) came out on stage with them and sat on the large stage monitors facing the band. Didn't get into them at the time, but hey, all I wanted to see was Sabbath at the time.......Buddy

Buddy, if it was around '71 I would have wanted to see Sabbath as well! Of course, I was only eleven at the time so I doubt that would have happened!
