I wasn't really interested in visiting the Waterford Crystal plant, but it was part of the deal. It was actually pretty interesting. I saw the craftsmen working on a big crystal zeppelin, but most of it was your typical vases and stuff. In the showroom were many examples of the work they produce. There was a crystal grizzly bear for 30,000 euros! One piece that I found interesting was this etched glass depicting one of the neolithic inhabitants of Ireland, with a bit of his handy work to balance out the design.
