I love going to car shows and viewing cars such as this one ....

They had a raffle for one of these at a car show a year ago ....

My first car was one of these 70 Challengers. Mine was white with a black interior and black convertible top. Would love to own one again but not likely unless I win the lottery. In the meantime I'm content with my 2008 SRT8:

Sis, you have a discerning automotive palette. I also love the '67 and '68 (both of which I had when I was single and still allowed to spend money).

I had a green 67 coupe with the 289........

And silver '68 fastback with black Shelby stripes, also with the 289.........

Sigh..........

Gary, those are great looking ponies. I pretty much love all the Mustangs from the 60s and early 70s, although I have a preference for the fastbacks. They just look meaner. Someday I'd love to own an old restored Mustang, but I'd also like to have enough money to retire, so it may remain just a dream.

If I told you I didn't fall head over heels in love with a 1977 Trans-Am when Smokey and the Bandit 1st aired on TV when I was 6...I'd be a liar.

I saw that movie and for as long as I can remember I had shelves filled with F-Body Hotwheels and model kits...when I was 17 I finally got an 81 T/A...then an 80..then an 88...and hopefully one day I'll get in the saddle of a 77.

If for whatever reason I couldn't have the car?...I'd def take that rig! "The Snowman is commin' thru!"

Man, that movie was WICKED cool!! Loved it, AND that car. A buddy of mine with a rich dad bought him a '78 TA that looked EXACTLY like the one pictured for high school graduation. MAN that car was sweet.

My dream car since I was a kid was the Munster's Koach, followed by Bonds Aston Martin.  Of course a `65 Mustang Convertable is not out of the question.

I love the Munster Koach.  Wouldn't mind living in that house either. When I was about 10, "My Mother the Car" showed up on TV.  To this day, I dig the 1928 porter that starred on the show.
What ever happened to my Transylvania Twist?

Both your old and new Challengers are sweet cars. One of my fave styles of all time. I had a friend back in H.S that had a stock 318 76" Cuda and he went to town on it actually getting honorable mention at a couple local car shows. In 84' he traded it in on a new car and got reamed because it was probably worth twice as much as the new one. He turned into a coke head so his thinking was pretty flawed.

The 318's were fast off the line and both the Cuda's and Challengers were great cars .. If I had to get a car .. I would want this ...

Hopefully, this will be the last car I buy . . .

Seriously, though:

Back in 1984, a buddy of mine from college bought a '49 Buick from its original owner's widow.  It had 24k miles on it.  A couple of months ago, I heard from him.  He still has it, and it now has 50k miles.

Still a sweet ride. And except for tires, spark plugs, plug wires, and radiator hoses, it is 100% original.

RICKH

I would love to own these three again!  They were my first three cars.  I owned all of them at the same time in 1972-73.  These aren't pics of the actual cars, just the closest to the ones I had.
This was the first, a 1953 Packard Clipper. I restored it, overhauled the straight 8 engine, repainted it.  I went on my first "on my own" date in this tank.  It's steering wheel was as big as a ship's wheel.

The 1951 Hudson Hornet was a wild car.  It had been owned by a country music singer and had been reupholstered in gold sparkly vinyl and it had a BAR! installed in the  back seat.

Now the 1964 Buick Riveira was a beautiful car, wood steering wheel, wood paneling, wire wheels, leather interior, every power option available at the time...Sweet!  However, it was possessed and probably was the inspiration for Stephen King's Christine!  That's another story!  But she was still a beauty!
You can't kill the boogeyman.  Halloween (1978)

I really like the 1976 Chevelle Laguna S-3:

Odds are it didn't disappear. I've been having the same issues every so often. Just reload the page.
